Revive your Home, Your Work, Your Parish!
Father Fride – most of us are not so blessed to have Charismatic parishes. Anything from your experience that speaks to the revival in a faith community, covenant community, or parish that you want to witness to during this talk would be great.
Revival is a reawakening of faith and a deepening relationship with God. It’s the restoration to spiritual vigor and the reawakening of spiritual fervor all to reestablish the ability to encourage others in faith. It comes from God, and it requires the cooperation of people to allow it to happen and grow. Revivals do not come out of the blue but are the answer to sincere and prevailing prayer. It is to understand more fully and to seek more intentionally all of the gifts that God wants to give us, in order to help bring about the Kingdom of God here on earth. The desire for revival reflects the deep desire for joy and restoration within the community of believers. The result of revival is the rejoicing for what was slipping away and now that has been brought back to life whatever that may be. (Your relationship with God, with others, their relationship with God, your Parish’s internal relationships or with the community). If we desire revival in our congregation, in our family, or even in our individual spiritual life, we must seek God asking Him to equip us with the renewing of His love, grace, and mercy. Each of us has a responsibility to bring revival. The good seed is that which we plant in hearts. God readies the soil, with the goal that the seed rises for harvest. The good seed is never lost, for He has said, “so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it” (Isaiah 55:11).
